Caroline leads our Patient and Public Involvement activities (PPI), making sure our work is relevant, accessible and a priority for the people it affects.
Caroline leads a small team who support PPI across our research department. They work to make it easier for patients and the public to have their voices heard in research.
This includes:
Educating and promoting PPI to the research community
providing researchers expert advice and guidance about PPI
hosting training events
supporting public members to get involved
carrying out projects to improve the diversity of voices heard in PPI
Caroline also supervises a PhD student whose project explores the impact of PPI on health research outcomes.
