 NIHR regional infrastructure

We work closely with National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) facilities in our region to collaborate with other relevant organisations in the local area and improve our research.

CRN Wessex

We work closely with CRN Wessex, one of the NIHR's 15 Clinical Research Networks (CRN) delivering health and social care research across England. This allows us to deliver our research studies effectively and collaborate with other organisations across the Wessex region, which covers Dorset, Hampshire, South Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight.

ARC Wessex

The NIHR's 15 Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) consist of local providers of NHS services, local providers of care services, NHS commissioners, local authorities, universities, private companies and charities. They help to increase the rate at which research findings are implemented into practiceWe work as part of ARC Wessex, previously known as NIHR CLAHRC Wessex, to conduct high quality, generalisable, applied health and care research that addresses the specific health or care issues in our region.

NIHR South Central Research Design Service

Our researchers can access research design and methodological support provided by the NIHR South Central Research Design Service. This service provides free, confidential advice to help them develop grant applications to the NIHR and other national peer reviewed funding programmes.
